Today there is about 6000 fur farms in EU. Denmark is the leading producer of mink fur, followed by Netherlands, China, Canada, Russia, Finland and Sweden. Sadly enough, fur farming is just banned in United Kingdom, Austria and Croatia. Fur farming has increased rapidly in China and Russia the last decade. About 30 million animals are raised and killed in fur farms every year.

Is it worth to torture and kill animals in the name of fashion?

This seems to be more and more popular in China these days. I often have the bad luck to run into dogs looking like this in Chengdu. Well, if these people really love their dogs, maybe they should let them keep their dignity, and not turn them into freaks. Animals are not toys! - You cant use them like you want to.

Bullfighting is still popular in countries like Spain, Portugal and Mexico, even if the support is decreasing these days. It's hard to understand that this barbaric kind of entertainment still exist. Some people consider this torture to be entertaining and of historic value. This is not entertainment, this is not a sport, this is not a fair fight... It's just a brutal act enjoyed by a bunch of savages.

What gives us the right to torture animals for our own amusement?

Bear baiting was banned in Pakistan a long time ago, but it still occurs in the Punjab and Sindh provinces.



The tied up bear has no chance to defend itself against the dogs. The teeths and claws has been pulled out before the fight. Some bears have to endure these fights for many years before their lives come to an end.
